Union Victory at Integral Care!

Last night the Integral Care Board of Trustees voted to adopt our Consultation Policy and officially recognize our union! They also voted to approve raises for Integral Care staff who didn’t get at least a 5% raise in March. We’ll see this new round of raises on our July paychecks.

We celebrate this victory during a week that has only further demonstrated the importance of high quality mental healthcare.

When we started this fight it was about our wages and benefits and working conditions. But it was also just as much about our clients and the communities we serve.

That’s what’s at the front of our minds as we begin meeting regularly with the agency about the things we care about.

When we fight, we win!

In the coming weeks and months we will be laying the groundwork for our new union-  signing up more of our coworkers into the union, deciding what policy proposals we want to bring to David Evans and the Board, voting on our by-laws, deciding our membership dues structure, and electing officers- but first we pause to rest, reflect on what we’ve achieved already, and celebrate!

Mark your calendars for a victory celebration on Saturday, June 11th – details TBA!

Flyer that reads "Union checklist" with checkmarks next to "Join together with co-workers. Build political power. Win pay raises. propose policy to meet regularly with management. Get integral Care Board to vote and officially recognize our union."
